Welcome to the Protest Against Crime XD Virtual Tour™

On Tuesday 19 June 2012 a group of South African celebrities and citizens marched to the Union Building in Pretoria to Protest against the violent crimes in South Africa. The initiative is in a response of the shocking murders of five-month-old Wiehan Botes and Margrietha de Goede (66) in Delmas last month.

The demonstrators handed over a memorandum to Mosa Sejosingoe from the president’s office in which they called on Government to take action against violent crime in the country.

Demonstrators gave the presidential office until 31 July 2012 to respond to the memorandum. “We expect the President to spell out exactly what his government is going to do in order to fulfil its constitutional, political and moral duty towards South Africans,” Bobby Van Jaarsveld said.
